I wanted to share this with you! I receive emails & notes every year and I feel this is an appropriate depiction of my feelings on Christmas & the Season!
Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the reign of King Herod. About that time some wise men from eastern lands arrived in Jerusalem, asking, “Where is the newborn king of the Jews? We saw His star as it rose, and we have come to worship Him.” Matthew 2:1-2
Substantial speculation has been written and discussed over the years about the source of the star and the origin of the wise men, but such discussion misses the point. God sent Christ to earth (John 3:16-17) in fulfillment of many prophecies made over 700 years prior to His birth (Numbers 24:17, Isaiah 9:6, Micah 5:2-5, and so on). It is extremely fascinating that many individuals today want proof that God exists, proof that Jesus Christ lived (and lives), explanations for and from a holy loving God as to why events are unfolding as they are in the world, and demand that God give them whatever they may ask. But that is not what the wise men did. The wise men looked for God, wanted to see where He was living (no matter how humble), asked for no explanation, and gave gifts to Him.
It is also extremely fascinating that thousands of years ago individuals outside the Jewish culture and faith clearly understood that God existed and that it was appropriate to offer sacrifices and gifts to Him. (Of course, those inside the Jewish culture understood this concept even more clearly.) How twisted the human intellect has become that it questions the existence of God and expects Him to make sacrifices and offer gifts to us.
Although it has become trite, it is undoubtedly true that wise men still seek Him and His presence in their life.
Wise men still come to worship Him. Do you?
Merry Christmas!!!

The Inspiration of a Child
These are the GeanPool Children!Eli -top left
Jazzy - top right
She-She - front right
Jo - front left
We just left the D-backs game and Jessica Simpson micro concert after the game. It was at the end of this game that my children discovered the inspiration for the soon to be launched online cooking show for Kids... 1/2 a chef!
You see these children were raised in the kitchen with Paula Dean and Chef Emeril. They love Anthony Bourdain and Bizarre Foods with the guy that eats all the weird stuff. They eat everything from chicken nuggets and pizza... to sushi and oysters. They have eaten chocolate covered ants and grasshoppers at the Purdue Bug Bowl and eaten fried frog legs and alligator!
They discovered that they wanted to be on the Jumbo-tron giving something to the kids of the world. They wanted to show the grown-ups that kids can do cool stuff too. (Don't ask me... this is the mind of a child!) Being the encouraging mom I am, I said "Let's look for something you can do well, that you can show other kids how to do!) Of course when we got home, the food channel was the station they stopped on and Boom - The Inspiration of a Child was born! They wanted to start a cooking show!
The morning after the game, they began practice for the show by cooking rice, eggs w/cheese, bacon and toast. They had the hosts (Eli & Jazzy) the Producer/Director (She-she) and the Production/Film Crew (Jo). They had schedules and menus and had begun filming when I walked in the Kitchen!
I sat and watched them work... WOW... I am truly a blessed mom! They had small spats, but otherwise the show went off without a hitch! I will be posting their footage as time goes on...
Keep watching for more to come...

Read & Respond
Read this and let me know your thoughts... thanks, LaKisha
Today was a great day... I was able to organize my life and work schedule to finally coexist without spreading myself thin. It is amazing the freedom one feels when there is a plan of action!
I am recovering from personal, professional, economic, mental, physical, & emotional "wrenches" sporadically tossed into the plan over the last year. I have confidence in myself, but cannot find the energy to fight the doubt clouding my ability to "handle it all". So I let it go.
I cannot control everything and what brings me to my knees today, strengthens my stance in the future and provides and opportunity for a truly eye opening learning experience. I just recently found understanding in the statement "You learn more from a failure than a success". You can write an novel on sympathy, compassion, & "understanding"... but until you live in the world of failure, and come out of it... one will never truly "understand".
I was fortunate enough to be given a second chance to make a first impression in my life. I can feel competent with my definition of personal success without the meandering thoughts of someone else's reality!
This is an excerpt from "Why, Why Me, Why NOT me"... which will be a chronicle and story book to other women that need to see there is a way. This is not a self-help book or an "I have found the secret to a great life" book. This is just one women's experience with Life!
Please let me know how you feel and what you think!

Making a Big Move
Many people don't understand the value of a friend. I have been subjected to the whims of the innocent and the persuasions of the guilty for far to long to ignore the substance that resides within their comments.
Many people don't understand the value of a love. The sexual intricacies of marriage and monogamy against the excitement of the thought of another's loving caress undermined by the lost understanding of touch.
Many people don't understand the value of a loving friend. The unsung verbs and adjectives that proclaim the sadness and joy, the peaks and valleys of emotional rapture that is the last line of defense against the world's misguided ammunition.
What I try to do is incorporate literary genious with layman's mindset. We as a culture rely to heavily on the growing and stabilizing power of the governments and societal structures that govern our self identity.
I am a wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, lover, entrepreneur, nurse, teacher, student, urban goddess, cultural socialite, volunteer, and mind reader. But my primary job is being me... the loving mother that doesn't take crap from the world while being the health conscience mother that teaches her children about the lessons of the earth and promotes the golden rule as if she gets paid for it without a sudden thought for "what can I get out of the deal", idealistic, faith-driven non-denominational servant to the greater good of the world!
Many people just don't understand!

Define It Walks by Rosie Geanpool
Define “It Walks”,
If your answer included more than “it just does”
Your putting in two much thought
So you keep a man happy,
Do that which attracted him to you…
Miracle Answer for All … “Just You”
For all the complains have roots within his personal insecurities
Men are prone
To be rambunctious animals
When protecting their territory
Meaning they are scared of loosing
Yet some choose two allow the self-depravities a matter of your actions
Yet actually the rid themselves of guilt and
Charge of actions contingent upon your activities
Women take charge of you! WALK
Men take charge of you! WALK
Nothing is worse than nothing at all
Now define “it WALKS”

Freedom of Thought Part Too by Rosie Geanpool
Freedom of Thought part 2
Today was particularly hard for me because I had to hear the words again… THE TRUTH
The day was not hard because I heard the truth.
It was hard because the truth was another dagger in my hopes
Of returning to a positive relationship all the time
Rather than then the camera is on and ready
To capture our reflection for life’s constant spectators
In knowing how much love carried the brunt of our human choices
Someone, something has to pay the consequences and suffer.
How do you determine what is sacrificed.
Make daily decisions that reflect life altering events
Make grand chance a temporary visitor in the home of grand choice
Question all or nothing
Determine reactions or act determined
Cliché’s to teach the masses they are special, unique even individuals
But goth at the pure expression of free choice and thought
Many nights I see love’s eyes with contempt
For the idiocracy forced into my existence
IF, BUT, and MAYBE are vocabulary determinations of fault Regardless of actual blame recognition
When I stare into the spot of hope
Still circling my expressions of relaxation with change
All hope of fail is fallen

FREEdum of Thought by Rosie Geanpool
Freedom of Thought Part 1...
Heavy is the feather on my spirit
Waited down with the pressure the pits of the ocean's belly
Word choice becomes actions
When acted upon, but the act is a reaction to the actions from the choice words.
Wisely spoken once was that of common sense.
Yea though it walks, my spirit is carried by
Emotion of desire for change.
The change received was not desired for the emotions of the spirit doesn't match the walk.
Trust is the word we place on an expansive
Vision of the expectations placed on others.
Spread life's nectar trust on a trap and
The expected vision has been transformed to the small encasement placed on expectation's older sibling "disappointment".
Why must we travel the same path…
Expecting it to take us to new places
Travel can not change for it is the constant which catapults importance to the path's existence.
Though change is travel's understudy it is not constant.
The path taken determines the variety of traveled changes.

Elevation by Rosie Geanpool
Elevation
Beneath tall trees lay acorns
Filaments of hope for growth
Address the needs for necessity
Internal strength and desire
Sun breaks darkness as it warms
Give me needs, tall & strong my oath
Breeze of huricannes text flexibility
Grit, hardness of untouched earth from fire
The veins of life form
Birth and death time’s promissed hope
Watch me grow from what past sees
Develop into a glimmer on the higher
Winds colder, darker darkness forlorn
Thought prevents action as yoke
Giving, taking, present the best of me

Head vs. Heart
Together or Apart
Many thing pass through my head
In the course of a day
My biggest concrn is feeling
Feeling love, appreciation or
Feeling you walk away
Do you have to be next to me to show love
Physical connection is not emotional direction
My head tells me you never change like a penny to a dime
Heart Speaks of love and change made from a nickel or time
Who’s right
Me, you, No U, there is no other right
All else, exempt from God’s eyes is wrong
Make a decision to walk on faith
Walk into the ocean, bottomless, dark, light, eternal
Water moves as it can, love moves as it will
Not confined by physical limitations
It is still unless there is wind
It can be held in a cup
It can hurt if forced into a small area
Can it be done
Love has no limitations
It is not restrained by physics
In, out, and around.
You can’t see but feel it’s power
Love is Faith unknown tomorrow

Energy lost
Time missed
Money wasted
Respect mishandled by
Misappropriation of resources
Unexpected outcome
Unsuccessful results
Kindest mistaken
Weakness abused for strength
Your sorrow on
My heart-empty
Promises made in trust
Misplaced portions of good
Intentions of prosperity
Forgotten words of romance
The stone of unyielding
Faith of the innocent
Blood spilled on the floor
Rehash your instructions
Over again they are red
Red to be read
Pain and anquish
Move about freely as
The happines and joy is
Captured in the tree sap
Fairy tells for children
Mean more as adults
Make sure the trail you
Follow or leave go to
The smiles of life
Leave the leaves of green
Ride white clouds in
To the deep blue sky
Don’t leave open the gap

AAAAAHHHHH - by Rosie Geanpool
AAAAAHHHHHH
by Rosie Geanpool
The pain within you, is a ball of negative energy
AH
Building steam, speed, strength,
AAHH
It hurts, can't breath, feeling sadness within
AAAHHH
Tears fuel the dry pit with hope of release
AAAAHHHH
STOP... I can't take it anymore
AAAAAHHHHH
It bursts through the walls of your chest
So painful it makes you smile
Filling tear makes painful music of completion
Exhale
The emptiness that once stood hole is now whole.
JOY and love surround you abundantly
Clear is the air, kissing the sun of your smile
Spark is the click of your heals
Laugh, pain of joy injecting your sides
HHHHHAAAAA
